RECOVERED

On 27th of March the pins were removed from my leg as the vets determined my skin was no longer necrotic and I no longer had any open wounds. We were very worried when removing the pins that the leg would not remain straight, as the pins were put in to keep the leg from twisting further.

Fortunately, everything stayed in place, however the leg was very weak and we have been advised to not to go for walks. This is as there is very little muscle on the leg, holes in the bone from the pins and once these inner wounds have recovered we can start physio. However due to COVID-19, this has been delayed and we’re trying minimal exercises at home.

Until next time!
